This is similar to the Colour Scrap Book, but of course pictures of a number of things replace the colours

You Need

  • A scrap book. Not too many pages. It is difficult to find suitable pictures for the higher numbers.
  • Pictures of one object, two objects, and so on. If suitable pictures are hard to find, draw your own. The following are useful standbys. A bunch of balloons, socks hanging on a washing line, a birthday cake with candles, flags, a bunch of flowers, stars, a shelf full of books.

Now

Write the number at the head of the page and help the child stick in the appropriate pictures. 1 cat, Christmas tree, bicycle, loaf of bread etc. 2 hands, horses, cars, houses etc. Do plenty of talking and counting while you work.
